For the past 7 years, I’ve been responsible for various aspects of the design process: from concept through printing, production to Mac-network upkeep. Most recently, I was the sole Graphic Designer at Sony’s Metreon, a multi-level retail and entertainment center located next to the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. As a member of the Visual Department, I worked closely with the production team and Visual Manager to create large window displays, create and maintain the graphic style of numerous venues, including the Sony Style store, and I helped develop and produce signage for all of the venues and events within the 350,000 sq. ft. structure. During that time, I was integral in bringing Large-format printing in “house,” which led to cost savings over time, and I developed production processes which led to higher turn-around in shorter timeframes. Before that, I was with Liquid Agency, a Brand Marketing firm in San Jose, where I worked in conjunction with an Art Director developing marketing and identity packages for Silicon Valley companies like Adobe, Firsthand Funds, and Intel. Many of these projects involved working with Microsoft Office Suite applications, as well as common design and layout applications, in order to maintain corporate and project identities throughout all materials such as PowerPoint presentations, conference guides, direct mail pieces, and online document templates. In my free time, I have taken on projects for not-for-profit organizations such as the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, San Jose Museum of Art, the Sierra Club, NorCal Spoken Word, and Poetry Slam, Inc. My software proficiencies include QuarkXpress, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Dreamweaver. |
